Process

Uncle Crocky's objects of curiosity all start with hand-drawn ink-on-paper illustrations and stories typed on vintage typewriters.
Papergoods are printed in a mysterious old building at the end of a cobbled laneway in inner Melbourne, Australia.
Uncle Crocky cares about the world and all the curious creatues and people in it. For this reason, he uses the most sustainable and ethical methods and materials he can find.
CARD AND PAPER
The heavy textured art card used for Uncle Crocky's greeting cards and notebooks has FSC (sustainable regenerated virgin-wood-free forests) certifications.
Envelopes are made in Australia from sustainable and/or local post-consumer paper.
HOME-COMPOSTABLE CARD PACKAGING
Any see-through packaging (you might come across this if you purchase from a shop) is made from cellulose and contains zero plastic. These are ultra-transparent paper bags that are globally certified as home-compostable.
HUMAN-AND-CREATURE-FRIENDLY WATER-BASED SCREENPRINTING INKS
Tea towels are screen-printed using environmentally-friendly, non-toxic and water-based dyes.
